Siddeswara Rural Development Society
Siddeswara Rural Development Society was initiated in the year 1994 by the like-minded people in Hiriyur, Chitradurga District. It is a non-profit, non-political and development organization. It has been working with multi sectoral communities without distinction of caste, creed and community in Chitradurga and Shimoga Districts. It has been working for development of the most marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society.
The basic objective of Siddeswara Rural Development Society is to introduce experiments and innovations in development, economic and employment activities of education, women empowerment and childcare. The basic approach is to implement development programmes based on the felt needs of the people with an effort to mobilize people’s participation for individuals and community development.

Siddeswara Rural Development Society aims to provide the communities with a means to gain successful employment & self employment in all possible sectors reversing the urban migration and to train rural youths on the new ’appropriate' technologies and ’skills’ suitable for rural areas and that are being used in other parts of the country by the rural industries

Siddeswara Rural Development Society’s focus is to work with the most marginalized groups in society. The approach holistic and integrated one to empower the participant beneficiaries in all spheres of their lives.
“Siddeswara Rural Development Society” is operating its activities in Chitradurga and Shimoga Districts of Karnataka
- Sensitize and mobilize the community towards social, health, education and economic issues affecting their development.
- Build capacities of the community groups through information, trainings, awareness technical support and other assistance and empower them so that they are able to find viable solutions to their problems.
- Provide services, referrals and develops linkages with government, non-government and other concerned agencies for promoting physical, psychological and socio-economic development of the Community.
