Target Group: Homeless children with no family ties, children staying on streets, railway platforms or in market, children who has a parent/guardian but unfit or incapacitated to care for the child, abused sexually & tortured, if found vulnerable and is likely to be inducted into drug abuse or trafficking or is a victim of natural calamities, orphans, missing or run away children. This project is established in the year 2012 and located at Bhadravathi, Shimoga District.

Open Shelter focuses its activities on those children who are in need of care & protection. These children are provided with basic amenities of food, clothing and shelter. 3 Contact points are also located in three different parts of the town and Outreach workers keep watch throughout. Public of the locality is informing Open Shelter immediately if they find any children helpless. The children also provided skill trainings like Bag making, tailoring, etc.
